Our client, a renowned company in the chemical products field, is seeking an Accounting Technician for their location in Beauharnois. The candidate will be responsible for preparing employee payroll and various other accounting-related tasks. A great challenge awaits you!
Tasks
Prepare manual invoices and file journal entries.
Perform general ledger deposits.
Analyze and complete expense accounts.
Process provincial and federal tax declarations as well as government statistics.
Manage accounts payable.
Verify timecards and timesheets against respective schedules.
Calculate and enter worked hours into the E-Time system.
Prepare employee payroll using Excel (vacation, deductions, taxable benefits, and terminations).
Serve as the point of contact for all matters related to checks and CSST reimbursements.
Prepare and send journal entries to the G/L and balance accounts as needed in SAP software.
Handle T4s and Relevé 1 forms.
Prepare monthly reports regarding benefits (life and dental insurance).
Prepare monthly reports regarding energy product consumption.
Address employee and manager inquiries related to payroll.
Collaborate with the HR department on employee hiring and termination matters.
Perform any other duties.

Job requirements
DEC in administration or accounting
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or payroll.
Bilingualism essential: French and English (oral and written).
Proficiency in SAP software (important asset).
Member of the Canadian Payroll Association (an asset).
Knowledge of labor standards, employment insurance, CSST.
Familiarity with E-Time & Kronos software (mandatory), Workday (an asset).
Familiarity with Workday (an asset).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
