Our client, a growing group composed of three companies specialized in electricity and industrial automation, is looking for an accounting technician to support its financial activities. In this role, you will be required to flexibly handle various tasks covering the accounting needs of the entire group. Your organizational skills and ability to quickly adapt will be major assets in a dynamic and expanding environment. Under the supervision of the finance and administration department, the accounting technician must ensure the complete processing of accounts payable and receivable while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations.

Tasks

  • Managing the full cycle: reconciliation of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices;
  • Verifying, entering, organizing, and archiving accounting documents;
  • Reporting anomalies and participating in continuous process improvements;
  • Monitoring cash receipts, performing reconciliations, and following up with clients;
  • Managing collection files with diplomacy;
  • Participating in month-end and year-end closing;
  • Preparing, balancing, and recording payroll entries;
  • Producing statements (T4, R1, RE, DAS);
  • Managing deductions (pensions, insurance, FTQ, RVER);
  • Performing other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • DEC in accounting or a related field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (payables, receivables, payroll);
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and accounting software (CMEQ is an asset).
