Our client, an entity responsible for ensuring the proper administration of the largest health care plan in the country, is looking for an Appeals Analyst. Your role? Review requests for plan member files.

Tasks

  • Perform opening of appeal files, preparation of the file and entry of relevant details into the database.
  • Conduct review, research and analysis of appeal requests.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to obtain information needed to process requests.
  • Write analytical summaries for each appeal and present them at meetings.
  • Review error cases and authorize resolutions.
  • Prepare correspondence related to appeal requests.
  • Participate in the preparation of reports.
  • Contribute to research for appeal requests or complex issues.
  • Carry out any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • Post-secondary degree (university degree or college diploma).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (intermediate to advanced level for all tools).
  • Bilingual - Spoken and Written // Excellent writing skills in both official languages.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint (an asset).
  • Experience in the field of group insurance (an asset).
