You will play a key role in negotiations with suppliers, the strategic selection of partners, and the development of rigorous internal standards. Tasks

  • Purchasing electrical materials, tools, components, and supplies for projects and the workshop.
  • Managing purchase requests from forepersons, project managers, and other departments.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to secure the best quality/price/delivery terms.
  • Tracking orders, deliveries, and ensuring the products received meet specifications.
  • Keeping supplier and product databases up to date.
  • Reading and understanding technical drawings and specifications.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the procurement process.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams to anticipate needs and meet deadlines.
  • Performing any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a technical or construction sector.
  • Knowledge of electrical materials (important asset).
  • Familiarity with a CMEQ management software (asset).
  • Ability to read technical plans (asset).
  • Bilingualism in French and English required to communicate regularly with English-speaking suppliers (40% of the time).
