Our client, a company based in Terrebonne, is looking for a controller to manage their accounting, human resources and administration department. This person will be responsible for the complete accounting cycle up to the issuance of financial statements and the consolidation of three companies.

Tasks
Plan and organize the accounting department.
Supervise, train and hire the staff you are in charge of.
Prepare monthly financial statements and perform various analyses.
Produce various reports/analyses for management.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and systems.
Control the various cost prices and make suggestions regarding the various agreements with clients and suppliers.
Define profitability standards for investment projects.
Perform inventory valuation (allocation of transportation costs, exchange rates…).
Be the main contact for interactions with the bank, auditors, currency purchases and various consultants.
Manage various files: insurance, leasing, grants, vehicles, etc.
Supervise the accounting of company expenses.
Perform any other tasks related to the position.

Job requirements
Must have a CPA accounting designation.
At least 5 years of experience in the field.
Experience in the distribution sector.
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of the French language.
Functional knowledge of the English language.
