Our client, located in Boucherville, is a friendly company operating since 1975 in the field of communications and radio frequencies. The company develops and assembles communication products. They are currently looking for someone to join their machinist team. This person will be responsible for manufacturing and machining metal parts used in the design of communication antennas. You will mainly work with conventional machine tools (lathe, milling machine, surface grinder) to produce precision components according to technical drawings and required specifications.
Tasks
Read and interpret technical plans and manufacturing drawings.
Use conventional machine tools (lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, etc.).
Prepare and set up conventional machine tools for machining metal parts.
Perform machining, drilling, threading, and assembly of parts according to specifications.
Produce parts, components, and tools as per specifications.
Evaluate the quality of completed work (visual appearance, uniformity, absence of visible defects) and conduct dimensional and visual inspections.
Perform basic maintenance on equipment and report any anomalies.
Perform other related tasks as required.

Job requirements
DEP in machining, mechanical fabrication, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in conventional machining.
Experience in sawing, turning, milling, drilling, planing, and grinding.
Good knowledge of reading technical plans and using measuring instruments.
Knowledge of metals and precision machining techniques.
Proficiency in written and spoken French.
Experience in repairing, assembling, and disassembling antennas and accessories in the communications sector (asset).
Knowledge of MIG/TIG welding (asset).
