Our client, a company recognized in the heavy equipment sector, is currently seeking a Service Technician to handle the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of specialized machinery. With proven expertise in mechanics, electricity, and hydraulics, the ideal candidate will quickly identify faults, perform efficient repairs, and ensure equipment operates optimally. The role is primarily based in-house, with potential on-site customer interventions as needed.
Tasks
Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Perform maintenance, repairs, and preventive upkeep on heavy equipment.
Utilize computerized diagnostic tools to identify error codes and technical problems.
Order necessary parts and maintain diligent tracking of orders.
Test equipment post-repair to ensure proper functionality.
Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to facilitate diagnostics and repairs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Document interventions and submit service reports promptly.
Travel to client sites for service calls when required.
Ensure the safety and cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment.
Provide excellent customer service during client interactions.
Report any issues and focus on continuous improvement.
Undertake other related tasks as assigned.

Job requirements
DEP in construction machinery mechanics or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostics and repair.
At least two years of professional experience with cranes and construction machinery.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and technical schematics.
Ability to work at heights and in various indoor/outdoor conditions as necessary.
Class 5 driver's license.
PEP card (an asset).
