As a leader of the Regional Operations team, you are responsible for service execution and talent development at both on and off-site locations, as well as contributing to business development and working closely with the Sales and Senior Leadership team to achieve growth targets.

Tasks

  • Be responsible for the overall performance of the operations team as a whole while ensuring all customer requests are met.
  • Remain available to deal with unexpected situations and issues as they arise in all departments.
  • Keep a constant effort for recruitment in all departments, including drivers.
  • Maintain relationships with service providers and equipment rental companies in order to avoid service disruptions.
  • Keep close ties with existing clientele and visit them on a regular basis.
  • Assist other departments as needed for issues with accounting, billing, driver payroll problems, etc.
  • Keep driver records up to date, perform management of PEVL and other tasks related to safety and compliance
  • Carry out any other tasks related to the position

Job requirements

  • Previous experience using industry software, such as dispatch systems and TMS.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Good training certification.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations (hours of service, market conditions, etc.).
  • Proven record of success in a supervisory/leadership role in the transportation industry.

  • Understand performance metrics and variable cost management.
  • Have P&L sensibility and knowledge.
  • Be process-driven in all aspects of the operation.
  • Have strong time management and problem-solving skills.
