Tasks

  • Participate in various diagnostic projects of services, networks and waterways.
  • Search for optimal technical solutions, perform economic analyses and estimate costs.
  • Analyze real estate and urban planning development projects.
  • Ensure the projects’ compliance with current regulations.
  • Perform feasibility assessments for sector development.
  • Keep the hydraulic models up to date and ensure the compilation of required data.
  • Participate in the standardization of procedures and information transfer.
  • Ensure proper classification and management of performance data.
  • Take part in the preparation of documents required for the calls for tender and bids.
  • Support external consultants in the context of development projects.
  • Analyze the collected field data and update the directions of master plans.
  • Prepare studies and reports regarding your sector of activities if required.
  • Participate in work meetings and give your expert technical opinion on regional issues.
  • Participate in the development of policies and standards for the design of water supply and sewer systems.
  • Be the expert and resource person in terms of hydraulic performance.
  • Provide technical and planning support for municipal services.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Member of the Order of Engineers (OIQ).
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the MDDELCC BNQ 1809-300 standards.
  • Experience with software such as PCSWMM, AquaGeo, EPANET AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
  • Design of drainage and stormwater management structures.
  • Proficient in written and spoken French.
  • Functional English level.
