Our client is a privately-owned business specializing in recycling certain material for the last 75 years. They have grown over the years and now have international clients across the globe. They are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join their Burlington team.
Assist the Financial Controller in the month-end process and the preparation of monthly financial statements for the executive.
Participate in financial statement consolidation and explain budget variations and in terms of the previous year.
Establish monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries in the accounting system for the group’s companies.
Become involved in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts and year-end audit.
Prepare additional consolidated analyses for the executive.
Liaise with managers and provide them with all financial information necessary to help them effectively manage costs related to the smooth running of their department.
Participate in the integration and issuing of control during acquisitions.
Help implement and maintain policies and procedures regarding complex situations, whether they be of financial or accounting nature.
Prepare ad hoc analysis and perform other similar tasks

A degree in accounting or finance is preferred, as is a CPA designation.
Expert in the usage of Excel.
Experience with financial process optimization.
Experience migrating financial systems is a plus.
