Tasks

  • Perform multi-point inspections to ensure vehicle safety in accordance with government standards.
  • Carry out complex mechanical repairs specific to heavy trucks.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts of the following systems: diesel engines, electronic systems, air brakes, hydraulic systems, transmission, fuel systems, etc.
  • Use computerized diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and defects.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups).
  • Test completed repairs according to manufacturer standards.
  • Explain to customers the condition of their vehicle, the repairs performed, or those required.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and customer service.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
  • Ability to perform advanced diagnostics.
  • Must own a toolbox.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Comfortable with paperwork and computer use.
  • Good command of spoken and written French.
  • Autonomous, detail-oriented, and responsible.
