Our client is a Canadian agricultural company planning to establish itself in Quebec this fall, just in time for the beautiful colors! They are therefore in search of the person who will build their HR team from scratch. With innovative farming methods that allow operations to continue even during the winter season, you will contribute to their noble mission of providing quality harvests throughout the year.
Tasks
Collaborating with the HR team to develop policies and procedures in accordance with laws (To have a good understanding of Quebec laws).
Developing and executing HR plans and programs aligned with company goals and strategies.
Managing the full recruitment process alongside the lead recruiter.
Guiding and train new employees and ensure their integration with the extended team.
Managing employee benefits programs.
Conducting performance evaluations, setting goals, and identifying development opportunities.
Coaching managers on employee relations issues and disciplinary measures.
Managing employee engagement initiatives (surveys, social events, and more).
Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety laws.
Performing any other human resources-related tasks necessary for the team's success.

Job requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resources, administration, psychology, or a related field.
Strong bilingualism.
At least 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
Solid knowledge of human resources laws and regulations for the province of Quebec.
Previous experience in recruiting and placing new hires (hourly and salaried positions).
Previous experience in project management (an asset).
