Our client is a leading North American distributor of packaging solutions, janitorial supplies, paper products, and equipment. Well established in Canada, the company has more than 135 years of history, approximately 1,500 employees, and 35 locations across the country.
To support its division’s operations, the company is seeking an Inventory Management Analyst who will be responsible for replenishment activities for assigned suppliers. The successful candidate will maximize inventory investment while maintaining expected service levels and contributing to various supply chain projects.
Tasks
Manage assigned inventory to optimize turnover, service levels, and product availability while minimizing obsolescence.
Plan replenishment activities by analyzing demand, lead times, order frequency, and service levels.
Evaluate inventory and interpret supply data using available tools.
Analyze requirements and place orders for both general inventory and customer-specific stock.
Create and monitor purchase orders.
Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and supplier invoices.
Expedite incoming inventory shipments from suppliers when necessary.
Perform strategic purchasing activities to support operational needs.
Participate in special supply chain projects and perform other related duties.
Carry out any other related tasks associated with the position.

Job requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Buyer in a high-volume distribution environment with multiple locations.
University education in logistics, management, business analysis, or a related field is considered an asset.
Bilingualism in French and English is required to communicate with head office, suppliers, and various English-speaking external partners (approximately 30% of the time).
Strong analytical skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
