They are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician specializing in chemical testing to join their team at their Beauharnois facility.

Tasks

  • Implementing quality plans, all operational procedures, and quality assurance measures.
  • Conducting physical and chemical tests with minimal supervision.
  • Interpreting analysis results within the limitations of the analysis methods and sampling techniques used.
  • Researching anomalies in analysis and results.
  • Assisting in maintaining the inventory of chemicals, measurement equipment, controls, and testing equipment for analytical controls.
  • Handling reception of documents and ensuring all necessary ones are in place to comply with the ISO 9001 quality assurance program.
  • Identifying potential technical, administrative, or health and safety issues within the laboratory.
  • Participating in the laboratory's continuous improvement process.
  • Performing any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • College degree in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environment, such as chemical product industries using automated equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of SAP.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and materials.
  • Fluent written and spoken French.
  • Functional spoken and written English.
