Our client, a well-established garage, is looking for a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join its team in Drummondville.

Tasks

  • Review the work order to identify the vehicle issue and, when necessary, discuss with the shop foreman to clarify the nature of the work to be performed.
  • Perform a complete multi-point inspection to ensure each vehicle returned to the customer meets safety and performance standards.
  • Carry out all required mechanical work: repairs, preventive maintenance, adjustments, part replacements, and corrective actions based on established diagnostics.
  • Use computerized diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and defects.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups).
  • Test completed repairs according to manufacturer standards.
  • Explain to customers the condition of their vehicle and the repairs performed or required.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and customer service.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Automotive Mechanics or relevant experience in automotive mechanics.
  • Must own a toolbox.
  • Ability to perform diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Good command of spoken and written French.
  • Autonomous, detail-oriented, and responsible.
