Tasks
Collaborate with the team to meet company goals and ensure effective communication across departments.
Develop and manage inventory accuracy procedures for raw materials, purchased components, WIP, and finished goods across multiple facilities.
Implement strategies to achieve and maintain department goals, ensuring effective inventory mix and JIT management.
Refine and implement the Warehouse Management System to optimize operations.
Oversee hiring, training, and performance of Material Analysts, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Promote lean management techniques and lead efforts in continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Monitor and report on department KPIs, ensuring high inventory turns, customer delivery performance, and minimal downtime/expedited freight.
Manage inventory audits, cycle counts, and BOM audits at both internal and external locations, including outside processor facilities.
Address supplier performance, inventory corrective actions, and ensure FIFO rotation and slow-moving inventory reduction.
Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 14001, 5S, safety, and environmental standards, while actively participating in training and process improvements.

Job requirements
Post-secondary education or equivalent in Materials Management or Supply Chain.
Minimum 5 years of inventory management experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment, with a successful inventory reduction and cycle count program.
Minimum 3 years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems (preferably Solidat) and ERP systems (preferably Trans4M/CMI).
Strong understanding of the relationship between Inventory Control and MRP, with extensive supply chain experience (raw materials, purchased components, outside processors).
APICS CSCP certification or equivalent, with a strong automotive background (preferably Magna).
Experience in value stream mapping, Six Sigma Black/Green Belt, and process improvement initiatives.
Proficient in maintaining ERP bill of materials (BOMs) and product routings.
Knowledge of Canada & USA Customs regulations, ISO-14001 and TS/IATF-16949 quality systems.
Forklift/reach truck certification and experience operating in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
