Our partner, a well-established and growing notarial firm, known for the stability of its team and the quality of its services, is looking for a notary in real estate and commercial law for its Quebec City office. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting a diverse clientele, ensuring full management of cases, with a practice focused on compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Tasks

  • Prepare, draft, and manage legal documents related to cases (assignments, contracts, petitions, etc.).
  • Support clients in their real estate and commercial projects, explaining key issues and proposing tailored solutions.
  • Analyze, prepare, and draft the required notarial documentation, ensuring legal consistency and high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage cases from start to finish, including follow-ups and coordinating stages.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, professional rules, and internal practice standards.
  • Work closely with other professionals and team members to optimize case handling and client service.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's practices, tools, and working methods by suggesting optimization opportunities when relevant.
  • Perform any other related notarial tasks as needed.

Job requirements

  • Member in good standing with the Chambre des notaires du Québec, or in the process of becoming one.
  • Completed master's degree in law (second-cycle university degree).
  • Excellent command of French, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interest in a client service-oriented practice, relationship management, and quality work.
  • Rigor, autonomy, good judgment, and a sense of responsibility.
  • Strong communication skills, active listening, and a professional approach.
  • Ability to actively contribute to a healthy work environment and team collaboration.
