It also collaborates with a manufacturing facility in the United States and welcomes local and international talent in an environment that values creativity, innovation, and collaboration. This role involves designing power transformers from A to Z, including manual calculations, electromagnetic design, active parts, specification analysis, and preparation of technical documentation. This is a true engineering role focused on design and performance, not a drafting position.

Tasks

  • Prepare cost estimates based on technical specifications.
  • Design active and electromagnetic components.
  • Act as a technical resource for new product development.
  • Prepare technical documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness of design files.
  • Make necessary corrections when technical issues arise.
  • Communicate effectively with 3D modeling resources.
  • Contribute to the overall technical performance of products.
  • Verify and validate designs to ensure compliance with internal testing requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, when required.
  • Perform any other related duties.
  • If you are ready to take on new challenges, we would like to meet you!

Advantages

  • Highly specialized technical environment.
  • Flexible schedule supporting work–life balance.

  • Internal growth opportunities based on expertise and performance.

Job requirements

  • Degree in engineering or an electrical-related field (OIQ certification is not required).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in transformer design (a minimum of 5 years may be considered for candidates with exceptional expertise).
  • Demonstrated expertise in design (not limited to technical drafting).
  • Strong ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Proven ability to perform manual winding calculations and other technical parameters.
  • Proficiency in English required to communicate with English-speaking clients and partners, particularly in the United States (50% of the time).
  • Knowledge of French or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
