They are seeking a candidate to fill the position of Ship Superintendent for their operations in Montreal or Quebec City, primarily responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the activities of the ships under their responsibility.

Tasks

  • Providing assistance and technical support to the company's business units.
  • Managing the budgetary, technical, and operational aspects of the ships.
  • Implementing quality management systems, health, safety, security, and environmental management.
  • Planning and conducting internal inspections aboard ships.
  • Ensuring that ships and equipment comply with the laws, codes, regulations, and requirements of Transport Canada.
  • Planning preventive maintenance activities.
  • Performing any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • 3 years of professional experience as a chief ship engineer.
  • Functional level of French language.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
