Possibility of full-time (37.5 hours per week including 2 evening per week and 2 Saturday per month) and part-time depending on the organization needs.
A community-based non-profit organization located in Lachine, our client's mission is to provide a range of services for teens and adults with mild cognitive or social limitations and their families. Services include outreach services for teens and young adults, residential services for a transition to independent living and long-term support in the community.
Social development services are offered to all and include a day program of activities, discussion groups, activities and events. You will work with a mostly English-speaking clientele.

Tasks
You organize and animate various programs, social and residential activities and special events.
You provide clients with practical assistance and support in the community, such as home visits, assistance with budgets and accompaniment to appointments.
You develop intervention plans based on clients’ objectives and prioritize interventions.
You ensure regular contact with the family and various community partners for better collaboration.
You provide orientation and support to new clients.
You contribute to various programs and events to better serve the clients.
You are willing to assist in any other tasks related to the position.

Job requirements
Academically, you have a college diploma (DEC) in helping relations techniques, special education techniques or social work techniques or a bachelor's degree (or you are completing your degree) in social sciences or a related field such as (social work, human relations, psychology or sociology).
You have a driver’s license and a vehicle for transportation.
You are fluent in English and French, spoken and written.
