  • Ensure the proper operation of boilers, generators, pumps, motors, fans, compressors etc.
  • Test water quality of boilers, deaerators and condensate.
  • Inspect boiler water level, temperature and pressure alarms.
  • Perform cleaning, lubrication and adjustment of boilers, pumps, motors, fans, compressors, etc.
  • Analyze, diagnose and solve problems related to various mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance shutdowns.
  • Complete daily reports on the computer system.
  • Comply with occupational health and safety standards and policies.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • DEP in stationary engine mechanics required.
  • Hold a class 2 or 3 stationary engineer certification recognized by the Ministry of Labour.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment that uses boilers.
  • Knowledge of the principles of control loop operation and valves.
  • Good knowledge of OHS laws, regulations and standards.
