Tasks

  • Equipment and Operations Management:
  • Act as a specialist in farm, transport, and handling equipment for the purchase, preparation, repair, and optimization of their use.
  • Structure the equipment records in Maintenance Direct, including all parts required for each operation as well as the maintenance frequency.
  • Coordinate the preventive maintenance program, ensuring that sector leaders complete tasks within appropriate timeframes.
  • Manage the repairs of trucks, tractors, pickups, trailers, forklifts, and agricultural machinery.
  • Planning and Coordination:
  • Plan priorities and coordinate the work plans of the leaders of the different garage sectors according to the needs of the farm operations team to ensure profitability and quality of work.
  • Monitor the PEP program to optimize performance and productivity.
  • Human Resources Management:
  • Supervise the employees in your department and effectively support them in their obligations, training, and management of their employee files (time sheet approval, management of absences and leaves).
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures as well as internal human resources management policies.
  • Communication and Continuous Improvement:
  • Ensure effective internal communication to promote a healthy work environment based on rigor, communication, respect, and teamwork.
  • Promote continuous improvement by highlighting effective and optimal work methods.
  • Ensure customer service follow-up and client satisfaction.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • DVS in agricultural mechanics and/or heavy vehicle mechanics or relevant experience.
  • 10 years of experience in mechanics.
  • 5 years of experience in team management.
  • Possess a Class 1 driver's license (an asset).
  • PEP card.
