Our partner, a Quebec engineering firm dedicated to excellence at all levels, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative for its Chambly branch. In this role, you will be a key player in the company's ongoing development. The firm primarily operates in the agri-food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical sectors, focusing on innovation and continuous improvement of its products and services, while consistently providing effective solutions to its clients.

Tasks

  • Identify business opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Prospect new clients and promote products and services.
  • Identify and respond to client needs.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with various distributors/suppliers.
  • Cultivate profitable relationships with established clients.
  • Advise clients on suitable products for their applications.
  • Receive, draft, and present quotation requests to clients.
  • Answer client questions and provide technical assistance as needed.
  • Verify client order information and generate purchase orders in the computer system.
  • Ensure post-sales follow-up with clients.
  • Manage inventory.
  • Cross-sell and propose complementary products.
  • Participate in internal training programs or those offered by suppliers.
  • Provide support to other representatives.
  • Perform any other tasks required by the position.

Job requirements

  • DEC or equivalent in electrotechnics, instrumentation and control, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in industrial instrumentation.
  • Access to a car and a valid driver's license.
  • Own a cell phone.
  • Experience in B2B sales/customer service in a technical field.
  • Fully bilingual to serve a bilingual clientele (primarily English-speaking suppliers).
  • Good knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, Solid Edge, SolidWorks).
  • Comfortable with computers and good knowledge of Collabox or SAP software.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in engineering, electromechanics, welding, etc. (asset).
