Our client, that specializes in the manufacturing of zippers, is looking for an organized and meticulous person to fill the position of Payroll/HR Technician for its factory located in Ville Saint-Laurent. This person will be in charge of improving and developing the various training programs as well as handling the complete payroll cycle for more than 140 employees.

Tasks

  • Validate employees' work hours as well as leaves, vacations and absences.
  • Participate in the payroll process and produce T4's for income tax reporting.
  • Update employee files when necessary.
  • Identify new strategies and participate in the training program restructuring committee.
  • Write plans to detail training (Bill 90).
  • Handle the drafting of employment contracts.
  • Assist the HR Director with various special projects.
  • Act as a resource person for employees when they have questions about payroll or benefits.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • 2 years of experience in payroll.
  • DEC or DEP in accounting or administration.
  • Certificate in human resources or industrial relations (An asset).
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Bilingualism, both written and spoken (French and English).
  • Good knowledge of Quebec labour standards.
