Our client is one of Canada’s top tier transportation service providers and they are currently looking hire a Terminal Manager for their operation in Dorval. The Terminal Manager will oversee and ensure the smooth running of all terminal operations all the while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction as well as respecting strict health and safety protocols.


  • Oversee the hiring and management of all Montreal Terminal operational employees, under the direction of the Vice President of General Freight Operations.
  • Manage all company-owned, leased, and railway equipment at the Montreal Terminal to ensure high utilization and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse site manager and dispatch to oversee inbound and outbound traffic, ensuring top-notch service at the lowest cost.
  • Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments through the Montreal Terminal are moved promptly each day, avoiding delays or overholding.
  • Supervise contracted city cartage owner-operators, ensuring high standards of driver competence, service, safety, and that all contracted equipment meets company specifications and presents a positive image.
  • Foster good relationships with all departments and terminals, promoting cooperation and efficiency.
  • Ensure all billings and payments to contractors within the Montreal Terminal scope are accurate, prompt, and efficient.
  • Perform any other duties or responsibilities as requested by the Vice President of General Freight Operations or the Company President.

Job requirements

  • 5-10 years’ experience in managerial role within the LTL transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws and industry trends.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
  • Ability to remain available to support all work shifts for any issues that may arise.
