Our client, a family-owned business specializing in curtain hardware, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee their warehouse operations. This strategic role combines day-to-day leadership, inventory oversight, and logistics optimization to ensure seamless operational flow. As the central link between the warehouse, customers, and internal departments, you will ensure orders are prepared and shipped efficiently, inventory is accurately managed, and the warehouse remains well-organized. You’ll also be responsible for identifying process improvements, supporting the team’s priorities, and maintaining a structured, high-performing work environment.

Tasks

  • Supervise a small warehouse team (2 employees) and ensure all orders are picked, packed, and completed accurately and on time.
  • Manage inventory: product identification, labeling, proper storage, and updating stock levels in Sage 300.
  • Maintain an efficient warehouse layout and keep aisles, shelving, and work areas organized.
  • Handle incoming shipments: inspect product condition, verify quantities, and record all receipts.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments: gather required products, package orders, create shipping documents, and record all movements in Sage 300.
  • Produce delivery slips needed for invoicing and verify the accuracy of shipping documents.
  • Process purchase orders received and manage documents related to internal transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, safety standards, and warehouse best practices.
  • Monitor equipment condition and report any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel), barcode scanners, and data entry using the company’s online ordering platform.

Job requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision.
  • Strong skills in organization, inventory control, and shipment tracking.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift and move items as needed.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and accurate data entry.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in both French and English (English will be used approximately 50% of the time when dealing with customers).
