Our client, a well-established company in Saint-Jérôme specializing in metal transformation, is looking for a welder-assembler. Tasks

  • Perform welding in compliance with CSA standards W47.1/W59 and W47.2/W59.2 under the supervision of the team leader.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Assemble and adjust simple or highly precise parts.
  • Use various welding processes (MIG, TIG, arc) in all positions.
  • Check parts for compliance with blueprints and specifications.
  • Measure precisely using metric and imperial systems (tape measure, caliper).
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Carry out other production-related tasks in the workshop.

Job requirements

  • DEP in welding and fitting or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 months of experience welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Proficiency in GTAW (TIG) and at least two semi-automatic processes (GMAW, FCAW, or MCAW).
  • Skills in blueprint reading and metrology.
  • Basic knowledge of metallurgy and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with TIG and MIG welding.
  • Familiarity with CSA standards W47.1/W59, W47.2/W59.2, AWS D17.1 (NADCAP, ISO 9001, AS9100 certifications are assets).
  • Valid CWB card (asset).
