Your professional experience with client interventions and management in the non-profit sector will be your greatest asset in your main role: supporting the Executive Director in operations management and bringing your expertise in intervention and coordination to continually improve the quality of services offered by our client. The latter is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide a range of services to adults with mild cognitive or social limitations and their families. Their services range from outreach to young adults to transition to independent living services and long-term community support. Since the organization's clientele is predominantly English-speaking, effective communication in English is also very important.

Tasks

  • Ensuring the management and continuous improvement of programs and services, and participating in the implementation of new programs depending on the objectives of the strategic plan.
  • Recognizing the contribution of employees, and when necessary, suggesting possible improvements and following up.
  • Ensuring client recruitment and evaluating service requests.
  • Supporting the Executive Director in hiring, managing, and supporting staff, as well as in their training and development plans.
  • Recruiting, directing, and supporting volunteers.
  • Planning and organizing special events for the organization, including fundraising activities.
  • Participating in budget planning and monitoring, as well as report writing.
  • Developing liaison and communication plans for clients, families, and partners.
  • Developing and updating promotional materials for the organization.
  • Creating an information systems management plan.
  • Performing any related tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the organization.

Job requirements

  • In terms of education, you hold a bachelor's degree in social sciences, in a helping field. In addition, a university degree in management or a postgraduate degree is an asset.
  • In terms of professional experience, you have worked for at least five years in the non-profit sector, focusing on clinical intervention and service coordination. This includes supporting work teams, monitoring and evaluating client interventions, program management, and volunteer management.
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience will be taken into consideration.
  • Bilingual proficiency, with the ability to communicate (both orally and in writing) in both French and English.
  • Proficiency in and knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle; you may need to travel as part of your duties.
