Our client, who has exclusively mandated Bedard Resources, wants to fill a commercial director position for one of their largest projects to date, a historical project, Tramway – Gatineau/Ottawa. Opt for a company that will offer you a three-year contract with an opportunity for renewal, as well as challenges to build and achieve with experienced teams to contribute to the scope of the project – $4 billion. Are managing, building, innovating and executing alternative contracts (PPPs) tasks that you want to promote? Tasks

  • Be responsible for the management, coordination and contract management of tenders for professional services, construction contracts and alternative contracts (creation to funding).
  • Meet the project office management’s expectations and needs to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing the best quality services.
  • Develop procurement and logistics strategies (see department-wide strategy, policies and objectives).
  • Mobilize and motivate teams to go further and build buy-in to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Develop, plan and oversee commercial agreements in your sector.
  • Establish and develop processes and systems to continuously improve performance and services under your responsibility.
  • Host and ensure participation to various committees (internal and external).
  • Implement communication and promotion strategies and programs to spread the word about project office activities.
  • Ensure transparency and compliance with the procurement process.
  • Oversee all strategies, policy directions and objectives for department activities.
  • Perform any other related tasks related to the position and upon the request of your immediate supervisor.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Commerce or Economy.
  • University master’s training in administration, an asset.
  • Over 10 years of procurement experience, including at least 5 of them in alternative contracting (PPP).
  • Knowledge of laws: applicable procedures and regulations.
  • Fluency in French and functional English.
  • Being comfortable with various IT tools such as the Windows environment.
