The position of Director of Human Resources includes responsibility for all programs and activities related to human resources management at the school service center. As such, you will assume an important role in providing consulting services and functional expertise to the General Management and all managers of the school service center to promote optimal human resources management.
Our partner, the Marie-Victorin School Service Center (CSS), serving more than 74 educational institutions, with more than 5,000 regular employees and more than 45,000 students, is currently looking for its new Director of Human Resources. Tasks
Develop the CSS's orientations and strategies regarding the human resources services for which it is responsible and, where applicable, determine the annual action plan.
Produce the CSS's workforce plan.
Direct activities related to the recruitment, selection, hiring, probation and classification of staff positions.
Direct management activities related to labour relations such as: the application and interpretation of collective agreements and labour laws, the analysis and settlement of complaints and grievances, local negotiations.
Ensure the maintenance of a harmonious labour relations climate.
Ensure the application and monitoring of all employment contracts, as well as policies, procedures and directives relating to the various compensation and benefits plans for staff.
Ensure the design, development and implementation of all health and safety programs for CSS staff.
Ensure the analysis and identification of development and professional development needs and lead the development of training and staff development programs.
Develop and provide human resources management tools adapted to the needs of institutions and other administrative units.
Intervene, as needed, in institutions and administrative units to assess problematic situations and propose appropriate solutions in collaboration with all managers.
Participate in the development and updating of policies and regulations; see to their application.
In terms of management of human, financial, material and informational resources of his administrative unit: develop a development and training plan for the department's staff, in addition to preparing, administering and monitoring the budget.
Perform all other related tasks according to HR needs.

Job requirements
Undergraduate university degree (Bachelor's degree) in a relevant field of study (such as human resources, industrial relations, law or administration).
8 years of experience in human resources and labour relations management.
6 years of experience in a management role (in charge of a large team) in a unionized environment.
Excellent knowledge of labour relations and collective agreements.
Good knowledge of Quebec labour laws and the CNESST.
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
Proven experience with significant and lasting achievements in change management.
CRHA/CRIA member (asset).
