Our client, a well-established company in retail and distribution within the construction sector, is seeking a Store Director to join their team. Reporting directly to the owner, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily store operations while ensuring a productive work environment focused on customer satisfaction.

Tasks

  • Oversee daily store operations ensuring process efficiency.
  • Manage and guide a dynamic team, including supervisors, team leaders, and front-line employees.
  • Ensure impeccable customer service by acting as the primary contact for customers and resolving any issues.
  • Coordinate teams to guarantee smooth operations and an optimal customer experience.
  • Organize and optimize inventory, maintain product availability, and manage stock efficiently.
  • Actively participate in developing and implementing strategies to continually improve processes.
  • Regularly communicate with management and support company development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, internal policies, and health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to various committees and meetings (Occupational Health and Safety, Management).
  • Develop schedules for team members and manage emergency situations outside regular working hours.
  • Perform any other tasks related to the smooth operation of the store.

Job requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar management role in retail, distribution, construction, or a complex operational environment.
  • Experience managing a team with the ability to engage and motivate.
  • Proficient in managing daily operations, inventory, and stock control.
  • Ability to remain active and mobile on the job, including lifting and transporting items weighing 20 kg or more.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and travel when necessary.
  • Fluent in French, both spoken and written.
