Our client, located on the South Shore of Montreal and a key player in Quebec’s sustainable economy, is positioning itself to become the leading producer of green energy in Quebec. Under the supervision of the IT Services Manager, the incumbent provides user support regarding the use of equipment, operating systems, and software across various platforms (computers, mobile devices, servers, and networks). They are also responsible for installations, configurations, and problem-solving.

Tasks
Follow up on requests for new employees and contractors, such as access, equipment, applications, peripherals, data sharing, and files (SharePoint).
Install, configure, and set up computers, mobile devices, servers, and networks.
Work with software and system users to provide technical support and assistance on their software, hardware, or technical issues such as connectivity, performance slowdowns, data inaccessibility, or inefficient issues.
Install software and launch newly installed programs for the first time.
Provide technical documentation and recommend hardware changes when necessary.
Manage the IT inventory and communicate needs to the IT Services Manager.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
Perform routine, security, and quality controls.
Stay updated on new tools, software, equipment, and applications, and maintain your knowledge.
Forward equipment repair issues to service providers and keep accurate records.
Maintain the assignment of software, licenses, and equipment.
Identify, with the IT Services Manager, user training needs and assist with their learning.
Contribute to drafting maintenance procedures and reference documentation.
Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
College diploma in computer technology.
Minimum of five (5) years of on-site industrial service and intervention experience.
Excellent knowledge of the following IT environments: PC, network services (switches), firewalls, and cloud environments.
Experience with installing equipment and software in a Windows environment.
Excellent knowledge of the following Microsoft operating systems: Windows 11 Professional, Windows Server, Linux, and Red Hat OpenShift.
Proficiency in the following tools: Teams for telephony, Windows for servers, and Fortinet for networks.
Knowledge of Office suite, Teams, SharePoint.
Bilingual (written and spoken), with strong proficiency in written French (writing skills).
