Our client has expertise in telecommunications for a large clientele and we are looking for a network designer to join their team in Laval. The person will be in charge of the project, performing the exterior and/or interior design, determining the costs associated with the project and coordinating the various processes of the survey, designs and right of way requests.
Tasks
Ensure project feasibility within the required time frame.
Perform preliminary network designs using information and software.
Ensure construction permits are obtained.
Follow up and give applicable notices when deadlines or costs have been exceeded.
Visit sites to assess the existing network, requirements and problems.
Ensure compliance with work standards.
Identify the best path to take while keeping in mind the customer’s needs, the existing paths and the network’s capacity.
Prepare maps for the survey, occasional trips.
Verify the accuracy of plans and information.
Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
2 years of relevant experience in a telecom network engineering position (survey, permit applications, drawings, etc.) or in a similar position.
DEP in building or telecommunication technology (asset).
Proven management skills in project execution (an asset).
Knowledge of the common standard for the design, installation and verification of aerial structures.
Ability to read and analyze a UDS grid.
Possess a class 5 driver's license.
Knowledge of the Office suite.
Functional level of English and French (spoken and written).
