Our client, a leading player in the mobile equipment industry for over 70 years, is currently looking for a Crane Mechanic to maintain and repair cranes. This company serves a diverse client base, working in key sectors such as construction, infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, and other industries. The company is looking for a true mechanical craftsman, with proven experience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, especially cranes. With this expertise, the ideal candidate will be able to accurately diagnose problems, perform efficient repairs, and ensure the proper functioning of machines. With interest and motivation, the Mechanic will also have to fulfill service requests for the company’s clients.


  • Diagnosing equipment problems.
  • Maintaining and repairing cranes, as well as other construction equipment (as required).
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Travelling to clients and fulfilling service requests (as required).
  • Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of premises, tools, and work equipment.
  • Providing excellent customer service when communicating with customers.
  • Flagging problematic situations and emphasizing continuous improvement.
  • Performing any other tasks related to the position.

Job requirements

  • DVS in Construction Machinery Mechanics or other relevant training.
  • Three to five years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs and diagnostics.
  • At least two years of professional experience in the crane and construction machinery industry.
  • Experience with heavy vehicles is an asset.
  • Understanding of schematics and diagrams.
  • Ability to work at heights, as well as indoors and/or outdoors when needed.
  • Class 5 driver’s licence.
  • PMP card (an asset).
  • Mastery of French, as well as English to communicate with anglophone clients (an asset).
