Our client, a company specialized in the manufacturing and installation of aluminum products located in the Lanaudière region, is looking for a person to plan the production and supply of components and sub-assemblies. Tasks

  • Perform planning, scheduling and control activities of operations, according to the production plan.
  • Analyze sales forecasts and customer orders.
  • Manage the incoming and outgoing merchandise consisting of parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Plan flexibility in production in order to be able to respond to urgent orders without affecting the continuity of regular orders.
  • Follow up on production and inform the Operations Manager in case of problems.
  • Analyze performance variances.
  • Plan downtime on equipment for preventive maintenance without affecting operational results.
  • Adjust the production schedule to accommodate orders and unforeseen changes.
  • Ensure that sub-assembly inventories are maximized for anticipated production.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports of production activities (productivity, costs, production issues, etc.)
  • Establish required delivery times to meet customer requests.
  • Participate in the development of management tools to ensure effective planning.
  • Ensure the link between the various departments.
  • Innovate in the way you work and provide solutions.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • College diploma in operations management and/or related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position in the industrial manufacturing field.
  • Good knowledge of procurement methods, assembly and sub-assembly concepts.
  • Ability to work in a computerized environment with MS Office suite.
  • Functional English (written and spoken).
