Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for leading the day shift team and ensuring production objectives are met. In addition to taking part in assembly and welding activities for steel structures, you will play a key role in task planning, work organization, and daily team support to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Our client is a well-established company specializing in the manufacturing of steel structures, with expertise in delivering large-scale projects across various sectors of the economy.
Tasks
Plan, distribute, and supervise team members' tasks.
Ensure adherence to the production schedule.
Optimize manufacturing processes to guarantee a high level of product quality.
Manage time and resources effectively.
Foster a positive, motivating, and performance-driven work environment.
Provide clear training and instructions to ensure efficient task execution within required deadlines.
Ensure strict compliance with the company’s health and safety standards.
Produce accurate and well-structured production reports.
Actively contribute to assembly, welding, grinding, and packaging operations.
Perform any other related duties as requested by the immediate supervisor.

Job requirements
Vocational diploma (DEP) or experience in steel structure manufacturing, architectural/ornamental metal work, and/or welding-assembly.
2 to 5 years of experience in the steel industry.
Experience in team supervision.
Ability to read complex metric technical drawings.
Welding skills (CWB certification is a strong asset).
Basic knowledge of ERP software (an asset).
Health and safety certification or training in continuous improvement (an asset).
