Our client, a third-generation family-owned business located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, has been developing their expertise in various fields for over 60 years. The company provides high-quality services to its clients in various industrial sectors. Currently, the company is seeking a Production Supervisor for its Industrial Painting Department. As a Production Supervisor specializing in industrial painting, you will play an essential role in managing the paint shop’s daily operations. You will lead a team of technicians and skilled workers, ensuring that projects are completed within deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Tasks

  • Planning, organizing, and coordinating all Production Department operations to achieve defined objectives.
  • Planning and organizing the human and material resources required.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient coordination of operations.
  • Conducting follow-ups with clients via phone, email, and in person.
  • Completing follow-up reports.
  • Monitoring material inventories and equipment, coordinating orders and replenishments.
  • Training, supervising, and mobilizing your team (between 10 and 15 people) on a daily basis.
  • Contributing to the improvement of production processes to enhance productivity and ensure compliance.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Participating in production activities when necessary.
  • Managing personnel (onboarding, training, OHS, discipline, quality, productivity, and problem-solving).
  • Performing any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • DCS in a field related to operations management (an asset).
  • Mastery of liquid industrial painting processes, powder coating, and sandblasting.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in the industrial painting field.
  • Between three (3) and five (5) years of experience in production and personnel management in the field.
  • Ability to read plans and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of production and improvement tools such as Gantt, MRP, Kaizen, 5S, Lean (an asset).
  • Ability to use various software such as MS Office suite (Windows, Excel, Outlook) and an ERP system.
  • Proficiency in French and good knowledge of English.
